TRANSMISSION

Meeting the public

Transmission is a priority for Art Zoyd Studios. It includes pedagogy (composition sessions, masterclasses, workshops), and cultural action, through the mobilization of speakers to carry out actions, the transfer of skills and the training of teachers or pedagogical relays:

Artistically transmitting and sharing today's creations with young people (young artists or children) and adults, without running a school or being a professional training center.

To support professionals (particularly artists, technicians, teachers, dumists, etc.) in their efforts to open up to and confront different types of music, writing styles, languages and tools, both creative and pedagogical, and to train "trainers".

Our workshops, designed in collaboration with musicians and teachers, aim to awaken students' musical curiosity by combining practice (electroacoustic percussion, sound creation via smartphones, software composition) and theory (listening to pieces using electronics, musical analysis). Supervised by professional composers and musiciansle-s et passionnés, our workshops offer students the opportunity to explore the many facets of today's musical creation.

In addition, concerts, performances and masterclasses, as well as meetings and exchanges with professionals, can be organized directly at the school.

Our resources

>> Support for young composers, via specific calls for projects such as "Résidences tremplin".

>> Electroacoustic and multimediasessions: shortor long, every year composition sessions for different audiences: ESAD, University, Conservatories, Colleges, High Schools, Musicians...).

>>Pedagogical archiving: this involves filing tools, works, texts, videos, information (...) relating to each pedagogical action (in particular electroacoustic and multimedia composition classes), workshops, master classes (...) initiated and carried out within the framework of the Center.

>> Cultural action: pursue and increase operations that take artists out of their context, enabling them to meet new or young audiences, and offer introductions, with the aim of enhancing the artist's place in society, by developing partnerships with colleges for workshops over several sessions.partnerships with secondary schools for workshops over several sessions, an partnership with the French Ministry of Education for projects with primary schools, thehe organization of residency outings with composers in residence, thea proposal for discovery workshops for the conservatory and the organization of proposals in rural areas with a mobile studio and participatory projects, such as those we carried out under the previous agreement with SiaHabitat.

>> University workshops: expanding at the University of Valenciennes (UPHF)

>> School awareness-raising workshops: these are also programmed each year with one or more middle schools, elementary school or high schools.
A total of 2 x 5 3-hour workshops with public presentations are held each year.

>> Each year we also welcome one or two 5-month interns from the Master Rim / Ran in Saint Etienne and a documentation intern from the University of Lille.
