HELP CREATE IN THE PRESENT BY TAKING HISTORY INTO ACCOUNT by making electronically preserved works from the past coexist with new creations.
PRODUCING AND ENCOURAGING MUSICAL CREATION BY PROPOSING OFFBEAT CREATIVE ANGLES monitoring new programs and interfaces with all sectors of the creative music chain: from performers to composers and artists interested in sound.
POPULARIZE AND MAKE ACCESSIBLE AZS has a strong local presence, enabling it to establish strong links with regional music and general education establishments. Musical action is also one of AZS's strong points, with initiatives in schools, colleges and high schools, or aimed at populations far removed from the music sector.
HELP THE EMERGENCE (of contemporary musical creation.
PRESERVING AND TRANSMITTING the contemporary musical repertoire, in particular that of Art Zoyd and Gérard Hourbette, as well as that of the composers welcomed to AZS.
PARTICIPATE IN THE DISSEMINATION OF MUSIC through concerts, performances, installations, workshops, educational programs and encounters.
ART ZOYD STUDIOS PROVIDES...
A REHEARSAL AND RESIDENCY SPACE, FOR CREATING, REHEARSING, DEVELOPING AND TESTING, AS WELL AS A CLASS SPACE
Spaces with state-of-the-art acoustic, microphonic and computer equipment. Machines are used more for developing than for recording.
A place with a light, responsive management style, which gives it great freedom to adapt production/creation, in perpetual motion.
Qualified personnel: musical engineering skills (RIM, sound engineers, associate composer).
Studios named after their creator, the mythical group Art Zoyd. Over the years, they have adapted to meet the technical, artistic and economic needs of guest artists.
AT THE SERVICE OF CREATION
Art Zoyd Studios is interested in and supports cutting-edge musical creation based on electronic thinking. Particular attention is paid to innovative projects requiring technological development.
All aesthetics are welcome, as long as they have something to do with the musical research driven by electronics, with the production of new works in their form, their sound, or their mode of interpretation and dissemination.
Art Zoyd Studios is attentive to all forms, from DIY to written music, via improvisation or the various schools of electronics, musique concrète, musique de synthèse, mixed music, music played live or on location, music on support, from concert to multimedia performance or installation, via the binaural sound of virtual reality..
