Nadia Ratsimandresy
BiographIE
Born in Paris, Nadia Ratsimandresy discovered the ondes Martenot at the age of 9. After graduating from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, she co-founded the Trio 3D in 2006, collaborating with various artists, notably on a project dedicated to the composer Messiaen. She has worked with the Mabel Octobre company and the Art Zoyd group on several shows.
Since 2012, she has been developing a solo program of wave and electronics, and in 2019, she is launching the Tanzania Wolves and Krumbuktus projects. A teacher at the Boulogne-Billancourt Conservatory until 2022, she currently co-directs the Ana Compagnie company.
THE PROJECT
Art Zoyd Studios will welcome the ondes Martenot composer for a residency devoted to the Osmose keyboard, starting in the second half of 2024 and continuing in 2025. This residency
will enable her to explore the instrumental gesture, as well as the possibilities for detour and creation offered by this new keyboard.
Expressive E's Osmose Keyboard, launched in 2021, is a musical instrument that combines traditional keyboard and expressive control functionalities. Its design is based on pressure and motion sensing technology, enabling musicians to modulate sound dynamically according to the strength and angle of their keys. This keyboard lets you explore subtle nuances and varied articulations, making the playing experience more intuitive and expressive.
