Art Zoyd Studios continues its tribute to its founder and the artistic and musical director of the cult group Art Zoyd, which he joined in 1971* . Everyone has their own story to tell about Art Zoyd and the Hourbette man, their own human and musical anecdote: Gérard and his violin, making a sound out of nowhere, Gérard alone on his tower with the Groupe F pyrotechnicians, Gérard laughing with his steering wheel/joystick in his duet project with Kasper T Toeplitz...

Gérard and his incredible symphonies... Gérard and his anger too! Against life, against the place left to music, against measure and propriety... Gérard so human, so fragile and yet so strong!
This two-disc boxed set features the entire concert performed by his musicians over the past ten years, under the musical direction of Jérôme Soudan: Nadia Ratsimandresy, Yukari Bertocchi-Hamada, Romuald Cabardos, Daniel Koskowitz.
Gérard Hourbette has made the Art Zoyd adventure possible over the long term. Over 20 years ago, he founded Art Zoyd Studios for the music, composers and musicians he loved.
Today, he remains the soul of our premises, our history, our landmark. He would no doubt have smiled at all the masked humans in the concert halls, he the K Dick fan, he who thought that man was a parasite on the earth.

One thing's for sure, he would have carried on, composing, imagining crazy projects, because music was his lifeblood, his reason for living, just as today our studios reinvent themselves to allow music to continue to exist.
